Erica Byrne Photography

The Challenge

After the sad death of her photographer friend Bill Parrott, and with the blessing and support of Bills family, Erica carried on in her friends’ footsteps offering equestrian events photography services to local equestrian venues. Erica needed a brand identity for her new business, and a website that helped reduce some of the admin work involved in the business. Her aim was to offer a quick, modern and customer friendly service.

The Process

Dedicated photography platform

We chose to build both the website and the online gallery within Pixieset, as it is a platform specifically designed for photographers. The integrated approach means that Erica has a website with space to go her services as the business progresses, while seamlessly integrating with the online gallery and shopping space.

The customer journey

Erica wanted to offer her customers a modern photo purchasing experience, allowing customers to quickly view their proofs and purchase, and enabling Erica to fulfil orders quickly. We spent lots of time working out both the customer journey and also Erica’s business process to make these as efficient as possible.

Brand personality

Erica is well known throughout the local equestrian industry having been involved in the pony club and local hunt for many years, and most recently for being a photographer on Bill’s team. Erica’s love of horses and the countryside gave her a strong affinity to natural, earthy colours. The palette chosen for Erica’s business reflects this, consisting of natural greens and yellows/golds, while a smart signature font was chosen to inject personality into a simple, easily recognisable logo.
